Pool Sanitation Systems

Are you tired of messing with chlorine and other chemicals to keep your pool at its best? We have another option for you. Let us introduce you to a salt chlorinator system! This is an efficient, eco-friendly way to keep your pool safe from bacteria and algae. Keep reading to find out how it works and some of the benefits of adding one to your pool.
How It Works
In technical terms, salt is known as sodium chloride. A low-voltage current is applied to the salt to separate the salt molecules into hydrogen gas and hypochlorous acid. The hydrogen gas is released through the water in tiny bubbles and the hypochlorous acid works to clean the pool water, and then is converted back into salt to be used again.
Lower Maintenance Costs
Reducing the need for chemicals will save you money on the cost of upkeep on your pool. No longer will you need to purchase chemical for this and chemicals for that. Your new salt chlorinator system will take care of everything. The salt molecules are used over and over again, only needing to be replenished once in awhile. But dumping a canister of salt into your pool seems much better for everyone than a canister of chlorine.
No Harsh Chemicals
Pool owners who have switched from a traditional chlorine system to a new salt chlorinator system report less red eyes, less skin irritations, no green hair, no chemical odors and a greater sense of feeling good about what is in their pool. Salt water pools leave your skin feeling super soft and not covered in chemical residue.
Chlorine-Resistant Microorganisms
We keep hearing in the news how new super bugs have been found, and new bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics. Well, now there are microorganisms that are resistant to chlorine. But good news! They are not resistant to the new salt water systems. Keep your pool clean from bacteria, microorganisms and algae with a new pool sanitation system.
At Blue Point Pools, we use Hayward sanitation systems. They are self-generating and are built to be efficient. Talk with us about adding one to your new pool construction project, or to your pool remodeling project. We’d be happy to give you a free estimate.
